Dear guest,
Welcome to my apartment, a perfect place to stay if you wish to visit the best of Madrid. With its high ceilings, wooden floors, exposed brick in the kitchen, the original wood column and select furniture, this sixty five square meters apartment has an elegant and exclusive air. It is all exterior and full of light thanks to the two balconies facing a lively pedestrian street, though the double glazed and double paned windows make it absolutely silent. This spacious and comfortable apartment is in the second floor of a more than one hundred years old palace-house recently renovated. It has one bedroom but can accommodate up to four people thanks to the double sofa bed of the living room.
The apartment is in the Barrio de las Letras, a neighborhood in the very heart of Madrid formed by narrow streets which are either pedestrian or traffic restricted, and pleasant squares such as the Plaza de Santa Ana, it is possibly the best preserved historic neighborhood in Madrid. This is an area where towering literary figures of the Spanish Golden Age such as Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Quevedo and Góngora lived and wrote giving its name to the neighborhood. You'll also find numerous restaurants and pavement cafes to enjoy the gastronomy of Madrid and the popular Spanish custom of going out for 'tapas'. Finally, the apartment is ideally placed for discovering Madrid's cultural offer, as it is within ten minutes walk from the Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofia museums.
Once again, I am looking forward to welcoming you at my apartment, where I hope you enjoy your time enough to feel like coming back or recommending it to your friends and family!
Sincerely,
Teresa
